Grateful Dead/Widespread Panic?

I heard recently somebody saying that Widespread is the Grateful Dead of our generation and will be played for years to come. Does anyone else think this is stupid? Widespread isn't a bad band, they're a pretty good jam band in fact, but the Grateful Dead are on an entirely different level.
