Can a D in algebra stop u from getting geometry?

Ok so last year i got a D and i know that i can do it but what i am asking is will this D prevent me from getting into geometry can i talk to my counselor about because i know algebra explorations is to easy for me please answer i am really freaking out will my counselor be able to help out also im a seminar student and i know i can do geometry if that helps
