2 years time to start talking abut marriage?

if your in a relaitonship thats pretty much ur living as married isnt that the time to start thinking about married? Ive been in my relationship for 2 years now, i want to start thinking about marrying but he said its too early? just 2 years? I am his wife now without the papers, or in otherwords he claims in his wife anyways already because he loves me and i do everythng for him. Why does he make me feel bad when i talk about marriage, like im rush it, when im not rushing anything at all, i just want us to start a future together, maybe he right it IS too soon to start talking that?
