Why most americans are so ignorants?

no offense on americans but why some americans are so stereotypical.i have some friends from us before they cme here, they think european are still living in middle age.all they know abut us is efil tower and james bond.your such kind of ignorance really pissed us off.when they talk about asia especially india and china they talk about poverty and their curries even if both countries are going to be next superpower.is it the reflection of your education system or ur ignorant media?
