WHATS THIS STUFF ON MY SKULL?

OK so sometimes im running my fingers through my hair because its a habbit..makes me relaxed..then i feel something hard and tiny attached to my skull...i scratch it and its like a tiny little red thing sometimes yellow the size of a pebble of salt and sometimes comes out with dandruff...what is that?? my hair doesnt itch...so dont say lice!
