What cell phone should I get?

Hey, I'm thinking of buying myself a new cell phone and I thought of buying the Motorola Rokr. However, the part I don't like about the Motorola Rokr is that it's a slide phone. I reckon it gets damaged easily, if not taken care of properly am I right? Well, more easily than the bar phone(did I get that right?) anyway. And I don't like clam-shell phones either. I had one a few years back and, well, let's just say it didn't make the third year mark. So umm... Could any of you suggest a GOOD phone(please not LG please not LG please not LG please not LG) for me to buy that's pretty much similar to the Motorola Rokr? Preferably Motorola as well =) and I'm from Malaysia. So (please) do check the Malaysian price for the phone you wish to suggest. I'm just a high school student so I can't afford to pay too much =) OH and btw, please explain to me why you chose the phone that you did. Please be as detailed as possible.
