Are conservatives still paranoid about our drinking water?

We watched "Dr. Strangelove" in my film appreciation cl, and talked about the fluoride in the drinking water conspiracy that was parodied in the movie. I guess conservatives in the 60's were paranoid that fluoride in the drinking water was a communist plot to take over the U.S. Anyway, this reminded me of recently, I was at the store with my uncle, who is very conservative, and he would only buy distilled drinking water. Are some conservatives still paranoid about the drinking water?
