Watership Down questions?

I don't remember all of them because I read it like two years ago, but Ch. 17 is they lost their tricks and cunning because I'm pretty sure the farmer or whoever it was who was setting the traps for them kept leaving them food. That's why they didn't want to leave. They didn't have to do anything and just pretended like nothing was happening with the traps and things. They were deluded by the food and things that the humans provided them and thus had gotten too comfortable with the humans. And I think that kind of answers Ch. 13. They were hiding the fact that there were traps set by the humans.
